One thing that I have always thought was missing from our home was a little color... Not that I don't like the yellow of our house, but a little color adds a lot. Our shed needed repainting so we decided to start there...
This was not the end though... I also think a great place to add a little color is around the windows of the front of the house. My husband, who believes that if you do something it should have a purpose, kept saying that if we were going to put shutters around the windows we should make them functional. In the end, we compromised with some homemade window decorations (no they don't have hinges).
