A weekend away...

After Chad returned home he hit the ground running with school. On Saturday morning we picked the kids up from our friends house and went to Flag Football. After that we had a little family fun and then Sunday we went to church and took a serious nap that afternoon. Monday morning Chad started class three weeks behind at 8:00 a.m. Needless to say the first week of him home flew by.



Then on Friday Chad's sister arrived and Chad and I left for Camp Lutherhaven. I wish I had some pictures from up there because it is such a beautiful and relaxing place. We usually take the kids with us, but this time Chad's sister had the kids and we had a couple of days to relax and enjoy each others company.



The weekend was called Rest: Redefined-Rediscovered. What a perfect title for our weekend and exactly what we needed after a few months with no real break. On Saturday afternoon we took some kyaks out on the lake for a couple of hours. On Sunday morning we went to church at a friends field work church not far from the camp. Then we returned home to the kids and a fabulous dinner at a Mexican Restaurant that is quickly becoming one of our favorites. (I love their Chimmechangas!)
