Vicage Placement...

What an exciting night it was. Going into the service we were a bundle of nerves. I told several people that I didn't think they could shock me... I was in for a big surprise... But a good one...

First we dropped the boys off with our friends the Gumbert's. The excitement was building.

We headed to the seminary for the service...

Finally the moment arrived.... Here is what we heard...


Wait a second... did he say Colorado... Did he really say just say Leadville, Colorado? Since you may not know it, almost 10 years ago Chad and I honeymooned in Breckenridge... just 38 miles down the mountain from Leadville... yes I said down the mountain! Leadville, Colorado is the highest incorporated town in the United States and sits at 10,200 feet elevation! We absolutely love Colorado and have wanted to go back for a long time!

Our church is Good Shepherd Lutheran and has 45 members. Prior to vicars they were served as a dual parish with the church in Breckenridge. They are coming up on their 50th anniversary this summer. Chad will be their second vicar. We are excited to be a part of what God is doing in Leadville, Colorado and can't wait to see what that is!

The three amigos from summer Greek 2008... Doug will be a delayed vicar next year... and Joe has been placed in Wheaton, IL.
